ABOUT LAST NIGHT
It was my honour and privilege to participate in Marsha Shandur's True Stories (Told Live) Toronto show as part of Toronto Storytelling Festival 2019. Marsha attracts phenomenal audiences and last night's did not disappoint. In case you missed it, here is the story and spoken word performance that received the first ever (I'm told by Marsha) standing ovation in the six-year history of the show.
Pro tip: there’s TWO videos. Make sure you watch them both, back to back.
Watching a YouTube video is just not the same as being in that room and feeling the electricity and humanity of the crowd. But, at least you'll get a sense of it and maybe this moment right here will be the impetus for getting yourself out to a future show, braving the stage with a story of your own, or joining me as a guest on my upcoming podcast (which is in the works as we speak).
Please feel free to share this widely with friends.
p.s. If you haven't already, join my mailing list (via the home page) and that way you'll never miss another piece of news, exciting announcement, or in-person event (the best of INSIDE STORIES) ever again.
p.p.s. Life takes guts. I love your guts.
