GOODBYE

The sky came down To touch the ground And grant me another try To say goodbye I dunno how I did Dunno if it transmitted But for a little while I felt you there Reassuring me With your gentle touch Just like you did When I was a kid When you soothed away My fears and tears Looked after me for all those years So many chances To properly thank you I let slip away But, underneath this sky today With you on your way To someplace I can’t reach In my heart and on my skin I felt you once more take me in When I allowed surrender to begin Someplace within Still..
